It sounds like a reasonably new PC and I would have thought you'd only run into problems on older PC's. Some of the problems could be caused by non-Vista drivers. Legion, I'd like to think we'll see most main stream apps updated for Vista before much longer. There will no doubt be problems with some programs which may never get updated. Jacob, good point on legacy hardware. Personally I'd only be installing Vista on a reasonably new PC. Aero probably won't work on older PC's, at least not without replacing the video card. I have 2 other computers with XP and have never had a problem with networking or surround sound etc. I am considering giving Vista the flick and going back to XP. I am not a novice in computing.
