The idea for Tree Snapshots came about from the updates to Tree Filtering which required a snapshot save/restore capability to resolve its usability issues. I thought why can't I take this further and implement a complete tree snapshot capability, which is what you see now. I am very pleased with the outcome and glad to hear you are as well.
